چکیده

An increasing number of investigations have shown the universal existence arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) in aquatic ecosystems. However, little is known about accurate distribution and function AMF inhabiting ecosystems, especially ecological floating beds (EFBs), which are constructed for remediation polluted water bodies. In this study, we collected root samples Canna generalis, Cyperus alternifolius, Eichhornia crassipes from three EFBs on two eutrophic lakes Wuhan, China. We aimed to investigate resources using Illumina Mi-seq technology. A total 229 operational taxonomic units (OTUs) 21 taxa 348,799 Glomeromycota sequences were detected. Glomus Acaulospora most dominant second genera EFBs, respectively. Different plant species showed varying degrees colonization (3.83–71%), diversity (6–103 OTUs, 3–15 virtual taxa), abundance (14–57,551 sequences). Low abundance, but relatively high diversity, was found C. usually considered non-mycorrhizal. This finding indicated accuracy sequencing. Our results also revealed a lognormal that observed across species. The community composition closely related nitrogen phosphorus contents. Overall, our data show harbor diverse abundant communities. Additionally, quality treated by indicating potential application plant-based bioremediation wastewater. • Aquatic plants (229 OTUs) (348,799 sequences) AMF. host different Cyperaceae, originally non-mycorrhizal, may fact be variable family. nutrient concentrations (nitrogen phosphorus).

Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi: More Diverse than Meets the Eye, and the Ecological Tale of Why

H ecologists focused on interspecific competition as the critical factor structuring plant communities. Interactions between plants, however, are likely to be mediated by myriad interactions with soil organisms (Bever et al. 1997). The vast majority of plants, for example, take up nutrients through interactions with root symbionts. Of these root symbionts, arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi are ...

Biodiversity of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi in agroecosystems

Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi [AMF] are soil fungi which form a mutualistic symbiosis with the roots of plants. A variety of benefits to the host have been ascribed to mycorrhizae, most often enhanced uptake of immobile nutrients from the soil, notably P. An understanding of the impacts of agronomic practices upon communities of these fungi would help to ensure an opportunity for the utilization...

Meiotic genes in the arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi

The arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) are important symbionts of land plants, which are known for their tremendous positive effects on terrestrial ecosystems, their peculiar cellular features, and their very old evolutionary history. To date, no sexual stage or apparatus have ever been observed in these organisms; a remarkable absence for a eukaryotic lineage. For this reason, AMF have long be...

Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi and Alien Plant Species

The invasion success of alien plant species depends, amongst other things, on their functional traits [4] and the susceptibility of ecosystems. There is now increasing interest in including biotic interactions particularly mutualistic associations [5], into frameworks assessing alien plant invasions, as they help bridge the invisibility and invasiveness features. The great majority of terrestri...

Caspian Coastal Forests: Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi and Understory Vegetation

Moist and temperate Caspian forests are associated with a diversity of soil types and topography.  Although, natural history and ecological attributes of the Caspian vegetation is well-documented, little is known about mycorrhizae of the Caspian (Hyrcanian) flora. Samples of herbaceous plant species were collected from 4 pre-determined altitudes (-13 upto about 1500m above sea level, appro...
